This book surprise me and left me in a bit of a awe. This story by Gary Martine has a very likely diary style writing... "Bridget Jones with jocks" but with a more spunky input. Makes me wish I had an inner voice like that.

...

In an essay-like production, the author reminds us that the adage 'confessions are good for the soul' is still very valid relationship wise. The main character is very saucy and cynical gives it just the right touch. This book is unforgettable, full of magnetism, and very well written.

Falling in love is an experience to be treasured regardless of if your sexual orientation. For the main character in this tale it's a carefully documented series of events and self discovery and readers are treated to each step of his journey into not just love but his first and only gay love - Kingsley.

...

The book does contain a lot of graphic sex but the scenes are told openly and honestly with a hint of innocence - almost like the main character is trying to understand exactly why he desires Kingsley with such intensity. I do believe it's the way which Mr. Martine presents this story with such a passionate nature and obvious love for the characters that brings this tale to life in a way that is personal and memorable.
