Kinks and cash? Who wouldn't be tempted with a juicy title like that? With this intriguing title nibble, author Josh Lanyon, entices readers to dig further into this smorgasboard of writing about male/male fiction, erotica, and romance. A multi-published author himself, Lanyon has the publishing experience and awards to author a how-to guide on appealing to the male/male market.

...

Lanyon quotes a number of publishing professionals throughout the book, letting their comments add distinctive flavor to the points he's making. (And a few appear to mis-step; one editor for a New York print publishing house makes statements that show a clear lack of understanding of the totality of the male/male market, dismissing women as readers entirely).

...

Even if you don't write male/male fiction, anyone writing erotica, GLBT fiction, romance or other genres will get a satisfying meal out of Man Oh Man! Writing M/M Fiction for Kinks & Cash. More than a how-to genre book, Lanyon's advice on writing is universal-and tasty.

So, why this book ... Why not one of the other "How to Write ..." titles? Because everything in "Man, Oh Man" is geared to the M/M market and the M/M writer, to you and the genre that you love, whether you're an aspiring writer or you're already published.

...

The presentation of topics and advice is well-done, and I think the reader, author, editor, and publisher interviews and answers contribute much to the success of this book. Lanyon doesn't just provide his own advice and his own point of view; he allows the reader to hear what others in the genre are saying, and more importantly, what they are looking for.

...

I found this writing tool extremely useful and effective, written in a fun and engaging style. I would strongly urge anyone writing M/M fiction, or anyone thinking of writing M/M fiction, to read through "Man, Oh Man! Writing M/M Fiction for Kinks and Ca$h." Brilliantly done, this guide will surely help to improve your M/M fiction writing. I'd highly ~ highly! ~ recommend.

When I was first told about this book I was excited. It is nothing new to those who know me that I have a dream to become a writer. Josh Lanyon delivers all the tools needed to successfully write in the field in M/M fiction in Man, Oh Man! Writing M/M Fiction for Kinks and Cash. The chapters are laid out step by step to prepare you for writing your book up through submissions and hopefully getting published. Josh doesn't just give you his insight but gathers information from a host of other sources. And if that's not enough to whet your appetite, you gain some helpful tidbits about what some of the top publishers look for in submissions.

I don't want to give too much detail on the book. It's better to read it from beginning to end. I will say that those new to the craft, as well as those who are successfully published, can all gain something from this thought provoking book. The two things that stick out for me are actual quotes on my wall. Josh says to "write what you love" and that "Writers, Write". Thank you for writing this manual Josh. I am sure those who have dreamed of writing in this field will be as elated as I am and feel just as inspired.
