'Tis said of love that it sometimes goes, sometimes flies; runs with one, walks gravely with another; turns a third into ice, and sets a fourth in a flame: it wounds one, another it kills: like lightning it begins and ends in the same moment: it makes that fort yield at night which it besieged but in the morning; for there is no force able to resist it.
--Miguel de Cervantes
What should be a simple rescue mission might just break Minato and Umu's relationship when Minato decides to put his life on the line.
Minato wants his relationship with Umu to be more binding, but he doesn't know how to tell his powerful alien lover. A new rescue mission has them engaging in some light bantering that turns serious, and what Minato thought might be impossible just became a whole lot more possible, even with other team members trying to encroach on Minato's man. Except, can Umu forgive Minato for doing the one thing Minato promised he wouldn't do without Umu by his side?
