'Tis said of love that it sometimes goes, sometimes flies; runs with one, walks gravely with another; turns a third into ice, and sets a fourth in a flame: it wounds one, another it kills: like lightning it begins and ends in the same moment: it makes that fort yield at night which it besieged but in the morning; for there is no force able to resist it.

Vic comes across Kris, a handsome young runaway, as he is preparing to shut up his restaurant for the night. He startles Kris as he rummages in the dumpster, scrounging for food. Kris tries to flee, falls, and is knocked unconscious. Vic takes the young man in - 'just for one night' - and their relationship quickly develops into more than a simple friendship. Vic, conscious of the age difference between them, does his best to avoid romantic entanglements, but Kris has very different ideas. Will Kris prevail, or will the unseasonable chill extend its frosty grip to their burgeoning relationship?
